Snow Shocker!!

When we returned back home to Omaha we were very surprised at how much snow we came home to. We had heard of the big snow storm that rolled thru on the 23rd but never expected to see this much! Or the sub zero temperature! We could barely pull into the drive way! We are at a dead end in our housing complex and so they push all the snow our way. The mountain in front of our house is huge. And the kids are enjoying playing on it now that it has warmed up a little. I took these pictures a week and a half after we had been home. Temperatures were to cold to brave and so by the time I had taken the picture they had already cleared a bigger path for us to get into the drive way.

Holiday Fun

We were able to do so many things while we were in Utah. T-Minus 5 concert, lunch with friends, game nights, movies and the Big one was Boondocks! Grandpa Crabtree took all the kids and Grandkids to have a fun filled day. Including: Bowling, Laser tag, Kiddie Cove and Video games. Alyssa had her friend Kami with her and I wish I would have gotten a picture of them together. Corbyn and Matthew even joined us. It was a fun day thanks to Grandpa. We love and appreciate all you do for us!!

Christmas Morning
Even though we were not home Santa still found us! How does he do that? We spent the morning at Grandma Betty's and the kids opened their Santa gifts and what was in their stockings. Then it was time to get ready for the hustle and bustle of the day. We ventured over to Grandma and Grandpa Crabtree's and visited with cousin 's and family. Opened more gifts and had a great time. Then we returned to Grandma Betty's for more cousin's and family and yes more presents. We ate dinner and had a great time there as well. Then it was up to see Grandpa Chris! And yes more presents!! The kids are always so spoiled and they love every minute of it. We had a great day even though it was busy and are glad to have been a part of it all. The camera got misplaced in all the running around so unfortunately I don't have any pictures at Grandpa Chris'.

Christmas Eve!!
Every year Christmas Eve is the same for us! We all gather at Gordon and Tonya's and Tonya always makes some yummy soup. Gordon always reads the story The Selfish Giant and we reflect on the True meaning of Christmas! We always feel the love of our Savior and are grateful for the many things we have been blessed with. We sing Christmas carols and the kids get to open some pajamas! And this begins the opening of the many gifts that are to come!! We are grateful to have been able to spend the Holidays with our family and we are thankful for the great family traditions that we have.

Thank Heaven for Grandpa's

The girls were playing Hungry Hungry Hippo and grandpa crawled down on to the floor and started playing with them. It is moments like these that are pricless! These are the memories worth remembering.

GNO at Pitty's house!! It was an ugly Sweater contest:)

It is always fun to get together with the girls!! These are girls that I went to Junior High with. That is how far we go back!! I love to see them and catch up on everyone. Rachel you are the best for always planning and having everyone over. We love you! Trisha and Cande were party poopers and didn't wear an ugly sweater! Malinda should be a Model with the way she was showing off her ugly sweater and I don't think Rachel was in the running with the ugly sweater's! It was a fun night. Thanks girls for always being there!

Great Friends
We made it to Colorado Springs to see Earl and Jamelle. We stayed for 3 days and enjoyed our time with them. We have always told them every time they moved that we would come and visit. We'll we made it to Kansas and Colorado so far. Two out of Four is half! We mostly stayed up late and chatted, played some games, and ate great food! Thanks for letting us come and spend time with you! You guys are fabulous! And we love you!

ChRistMas FoR uS!

Well we are planning on going to Colorado for a few days and then on to Utah for Christmas. So for us we had to be ready for Christmas early this year. The kids came home from school on the 17th and we opened presents that night. Even though we did not have much this year the kids still are very spoiled! With the help of our community and a little from mom and dad they had plenty. We are very blessed to be here in Omaha and have David going to school. Times are not easy and sometimes we are discouraged, but we know that we are truly blessed.

Family Home Evening

Today the kids wanted to make a ginger bread house. We have never done one and I was going to be adventurous and make my own ginger bread, but when I went to the store to buy some ginger it was all gone!! So I bought the kit and the kids were just as happy. Tyler helped for a short little while and then resorted to playing video games. The girls love to be creative and enjoyed every minute of it. Alyssa was the architect and the girls just did what she said!! If you ask me it is a lot of work and then you end up throwing it away. It wasn't even edible. The things we do for our kids!!
