All the LOOT!! David got a sweet University of Utah watch for his birthday! Alyssa gave him a case of Mt. Dew, a.k.a Nectar of the Gods. These two things made him very Happy!!

I made David one of his favorite cakes. I have never made a German Chocolate cake from scratch before and it was absolutely amazing! I won't lie it was a lot of work, but definatley worth it.
We invited some friends over from the ward and the missionaries also came for cake and ice cream.
Cherisse and Corey also sent David this awesome Utah shirt!

The Storm

This storm rolled through Omaha on Tuesday evening! This is by far one of the worst storms we have seen since being here. Here is some of the footage. Listen to the hail hitting the sliding door!

Saturday May 8th

Today is the big day!! Everyone came for Breakfast again! We didn't really have and big plans for the day! We just hung out and talked about everything and nothing! We played a game of family cranium. The kids were so excited to have everyone here and there was never a quite moment. They wanted to show Grandma's and Grandpa's everything they had been up to and all the things they cherished. We we went to lunch at Jason's Deli. David and I have really grown to love that place. When we feel we have a little extra cash we will treat ourselves to lunch there! The kids could not believe we were going out to eat twice in one day!! For them it is a treat if we go out to eat at all! We felt very spoiled:)

After lunch we went to the Creighton School of Dentistry to show everyone around and let them see where it is that David spends all his time.

The White coat ceremony was held at the Mike and Josie Harper Center in the Ballroom. The ceremony started at 4:00 and was only about 30 min. We are so proud of David and all that he is doing for our family. We have been so blessed to have such supportive parents that are willing to help us out! We love you all! We definitely could not be doing this if it was not for all your help.

Then after the Ceremony we went to a steak house here in Omaha called Johnny's Cafe. It is one of the best in Omaha. We had a great time just talking and being with family!

Friday May 7th

Today was a fun filled day! David's Best friend and his family showed up late thursday night and so today we are seeing some sights in Omaha! Everyone came over for some Delicious breakfast and then we had to find a wheelchair for the gimp!!:) The ladies went and picked it up and after some laziness we decided it was time for lunch. Earl took us all to the Amazing Pizza Machine!! And it was pretty amazing;) They have big T.V. screens and the kids just ate and watched the cartoons! It was the best they have eaten in years. Addyson was Mesmerised with the fact she could eat and watch T.V. at the same time!

The weather was still cold and windy, but we still wanted to go to the pedestrian bridge that goes across the Missouri river from Nebraska into Iowa. It is a really neat bridge and a great walk!! The wheelchair really came in handy!

After the bridge we got into our swimsuits and headed to the hotel where Earl and Jamelle were staying. They have a great indoor pool for the kids and we were the only ones in there! It was our own private pool party. Mom and John have a really neat camera that you can put under water and we had so much fun taking pictures with it!

All in all it was a fun filled day!

Thursday May 6th
Today we sent all the kids to school and we just hung out at the house! We watched some movies and hit the grocery store. After picking up the kids they wanted to show grandma and grandpa how well they could ride their bikes. Even grandpa got up on David's bike!! Grandma sat and watched and David grilled up our yummy steaks!
After clean-up we headed out to Alyssa's soccer game! The weather was not cooperating and was a little chilly. We made sure that grandma was all bundled up though. The game was awesome and they ended up winning!! All season long David has been telling Alyssa that she needs to chew on rocks!! All the girls seem to be little pansies when the ball is headed for them. Not our little Alyssa. She will go up against anyone, even girls that will just take her out. She ends up on the ground a lot, but all the other parents will say "looks like that chewing on rocks is paying off!" We are very proud of her!

And the FUN begins!!! Wednesday, May 5th Today we went and Picked Mom and John up from the airport. The kids were so excited to have family and friends come to visit. We kept Haylee home from school and went to the senior BBQ after picking them up from the airport. Who can pass up a free lunch! The weather was a little cooler than we had hoped for , but was still nice. At least we did not have snow like Utah!
